Lesvos spring 2012 The West

Part II of the Badger in Lesvos trilogy...

This part was filmed to the west of Lesvos,an area much more

arid than the central Kalloni region.Within this area

lies several small pockets of shelter which act as magnets

for migrating passerines.Beyond the small town of Sigri is

an area of cultivated land, a green oasis which like the rest of the

western reaches can often feature some memorable and spectacular

 falls of tired migrants following weather fronts.
